A lot happened in just one episode during the season finale for “Grimm”, and the show has been changed forever in some aspects. Juliette is now dead, and even though the character’s departure was unexpected for many fans, some have been critical of the way it was presented, claiming that it was more of a plot device than an actually planned point in the story.
In other words, it was a bit disappointing and could have been executed better, but in the end, the writers of the show know best when it comes to its future development. Juliette was established quite well as the primary love interest of Nick, and now the situation is going to change dramatically – opening up many new possibilities for his interactions with Adalind, which could get interesting over the next episodes.
So far though, the relationship between Nick and Juliette has been used extensively as a main driving point in various plot developments, so removing the character is definitely going to have a dramatic impact on the plot. We have no idea how things are going to go in the future after this, but many fans have been hopeful that the writers have something equally exciting for the story surrounding Nick in the next episodes.
Now though, with Juliette’s death, there is no longer a chance for her to be forgiven for her crimes against nick and Monroesalie, something which made the plot of the show a little bit darker according to most fans and critics. In fact, some see the change as a very dramatic one, claiming that it’s going to reshape the landscape of the show forever. This might be true, but we’ll have to wait and see what we’re getting in the new episodes to find out if the show really is going to be taking a darker approach to its storytelling.
One thing is clear now though – the writers of “Grimm” are prepared to pull various unexpected surprises, and are ready to tease their fans in many different ways. Pretty much nobody was expecting the death of Juliette, and her departure from the show shook many fans. There was a sort of belief previously that most of the core characters were safe in some way, because the writers didn’t want to kill them off, but now this might turn out to be false and nobody is safe in the long run. Could this have more implications for the characters of the show, and for which ones specifically?
