‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 13 to See the Departure of Justin Chamber for Alex Karev’s Spin-off TV Series? Let’s See

The first spin-off of “Grey’s Anatomy” was “Private Practice” starring Addison Montgomery. Her departure from Seattle Grace Hospital served as a backdoor pilot for the show’s plot.

“‘Private Practice” chronicles the life of Addison after joining Seaside Wellness Center, a private practice clinic located in Los Angeles. The show ran for six seasons and wrapped up in 2013.

Spanning 13 seasons, Chambers along with Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson, and James Pickens Jr., who portray Meredith Grey, Miranda Bailey, and Dr. Webber, respectively, are the only actors who have been with the show since the first season.

Other long-time casts such as Sandra Oh left the show after Season 10, Patrick Dempsey, who plays Derek Shepherd, left after Season 11 when his character died of a brain trauma following a car accident.

Elsewhere, the midseason premiere will deal with Marika Dominczyk’s Eliza Minnick running Grey Sloan’s training program. The rest of the residents have already come together to aid Dr. Webber in not getting ousted.

“Grey’s Anatomy” will return on January 19, 2017, along with the season 6 premiere of “Scandal” and the midseason premiere of “How to Get Away with Murder,” completing Shonda’s holy trinity ‘Thank God It’s Thursday line up.

ABC has not yet revealed the episode title nor released a teaser for the upcoming episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 13, but fans know that it will pick up where the last episode ended.

  1. This show has gotten so dumb lately. It’s hard to believe this is the kind of plot in a Grey’s Anatomy episode when the show used to be so good. Once McDreamy left there was no point in watching anymore. Meredith has no Charisma without him.
