Another relationship that’s going to be given a bit more focus in this episode is the one between Meredith and Kelly. The two were already headed in an interesting direction the last time we saw them, and the next episode is likely going to show the continuation of those events.
All in all, it looks like the actual medical themes of the show are going to take a backseat for the time being, as the producers are focusing heavily on the dramatic aspect. There’s definitely nothing wrong with that as far as most fans are concerned, as this is a major reason for many people to enjoy the show in the first place.
Of course, the producers should still be careful to maintain the balance between dramatic developments and the other elements of the show, as there is also the risk of leaning too heavily in the other direction and messing things up again.
Considering how long the show has been on air though, we trust that the people behind it know how to approach its pacing at this point. It takes a lot of skill to keep a show relevant for such a long time, but it looks like “Grey’s Anatomy” isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. If anything, the show actually has a lot more potential and there is a lot that the producers can explore in it.
