While Meredith and Nathan seem to have mutual feelings for one another, Maggie is still left in the loop that her sister is already having an affair with the man she likes.
Owen and Amelia’s relationship will also have an integral plot coming. Before going on hiatus, Amelia left her husband revealing that she doesn’t want to have kids because she lost a kid before.
The surgeons of the hospital will also go against Marika Dominczyk’s Eliza Minnick as she tries to revamp the learning style in Grey-Sloan and eventually remove Dr. Webber from his position.
This puts Bailey and Catherine Avery in a tight position, especially Bailey. In the last episode, Arizona showed Webber that higher up surgeons were backing him over Minnick.
There’s also a rumored episode that is set entirely on a plane. Fans of the long-running medical drama know how the last episode that was set on a plane turned out for most of the doctors.
Back in Season 8, the doctors were on a flight in order to save patients, but their plane crashed, resulting in Lexie’s death, Arizona being left handicapped, and eventually Mark Sloan’s demise as well.
While details of that particular episode have not surfaced yet, it looks like the characters will have flashbacks to that traumatic experience once again.
