TV shows come and go, and it’s quite rare for a production to catch on for as long as “Grey’s Anatomy” has managed to – and yet here we are, anticipating the show’s upcoming thirteenth season. Things haven’t gotten stale either, as it looks like the showrunners are preparing yet another exciting installment for their fans, and they don’t plan on exploiting the fact that so many people are following them.
A lot happened in the last season, and many of those plot lines are apparently going to be resolved early on in the new episodes of the show. On the other hand, the producers are apparently planning to introduce various additional storylines, including some new romantic developments between some characters, so it sounds like it will be an action-packed season all around.
One of the favorite topics for discussions among fans of “Grey’s Anatomy” is the relationship between April and Jackson. And it looks like this season is going to give some special focus to it again, as the two will find it difficult to deal with their separation.
After all, how does one deal with having to split from the person they love when they know they feel the same way? The show is apparently going to look quite deeply into some romantic issues around its characters, and these reports have made many fans happy.
It’s no secret that the medical setting of “Grey’s Anatomy” is really just a cover for more personal stories, and season thirteen is apparently not going to disappoint in this regard. The news about April and Jackson isn’t all we’ve been hearing either, as it sounds like love could be a slightly more central topic this time.
And while this all sounds great, there are also some more worrying rumors on the horizon. Among those are talks of Meredith Grey being killed off, and possibly in an unpleasant way too. As can be expected, many fans immediately reacted very negatively to these ideas, and it looks like this season could be quite the turbulent one if the rumors turn out to be true.
We have no indication if we can expect any sharp plot twists like that, as the producers have been quiet on that topic. This is quite typical of them, as they obviously wouldn’t want to spoil such a major development if it’s true, and on the other hand they could benefit from the hype generated by the rumors if they’re false. So with all that in mind, we don’t expect them to address the claims at all.
There are still a couple of weeks left before the show returns, and fans have been growing more and more anxious to see the new season. There is still a lot of uncertainty about the future of the show, but it does look like it could leave fans on a pretty negative note.
That would be in the style of the producers, but this doesn’t mean it would be a good idea for them to go in that direction. We’ve seen plenty of cases of great shows ending terribly due to a miscalculation by their producers.
In the very least, it could lead to some unpleasant memories among fans, such as “The Sopranos” which had a very controversial ending. It would be fitting for “Grey’s Anatomy” and the overall dramatic nature of the show to have a tense finale, but at the same time many fans would seemingly prefer something more upbeat and cheerful.
