Overall, the producers seem to have been leaning too heavily on the dramatic side of the show, judging by the responses of some fans. While “Grey’s Anatomy” has always been about drama first and foremost, everything has a reasonable limit.
The medical aspect of the show is still enjoying quite a lot of attention too, so it’s not like the producers are making any compromises with its core values. But the general consensus among some fans right now seems to be that they should just slow things down a little bit, and avoid moving the story forward so quickly with the relationships of some characters.
As we pointed out above, this would automatically resolve some issues between Owen and Amelia, for example, so it would definitely not be a bad move.
But of course, the episodes are probably already set in stone and the producers can’t do much to change the overall direction of the show, so we can just hope that those are indeed the developments that they are planning.
It would actually be a nice surprise, according to some fans. The season started off on a bit of a heated, fast-paced note, and the producers could easily slow things down after a couple more episodes, in order to allow those plot lines to resolve themselves. The show has been on air for a very long time now, and we don’t doubt that the people behind it know exactly what they’re doing when it comes to maintaining a good pace.
