“Grey’s Anatomy” has always offered a nice mix between medical drama and human interactions. The show realized something that the producers of many other medical shows ignored for quite some time – that people don’t want to watch doctors being doctors all the time, there has to be a human element. And according to recent reports, the show is going to focus on that even more in some upcoming episodes.
Some relationships are going to get deeper and more involved, while others will run into certain trouble. All in all, it looks like fans of “Grey’s Anatomy” will have plenty to gossip about in the coming weeks/months.
Those who have been hoping for something to happen between Meredith and Will might finally get what they want, according to some rumors, as the two will get closer soon. However, it’s not clear how long this will last – there is an implication that Meredith will want to back out of that relationship pretty soon after initiating it. Of course, it wouldn’t be a quality romantic story if everything comes together flawlessly.
Others will also find themselves getting closer to people around them, but there will also be some more negative changes in the dynamics between certain characters. Jackson and April, for example, will find themselves facing some issues in their relationship, mostly owing to the presence of Catherine in the picture. Hopefully the writers will handle that part of the story without disappointing too many fans, as there is a lot of interest in the way these two characters have been getting along for some fans.
Bailey and Ben won’t have it easy either, as Bailey will be forced to exercise her authority against her own husband after he decides to break the rules yet again. This report has been controversial among some fans, as there were voices of hope that we are going to see the two strengthening their relationship.
The way the story is described implies that Ben actually had good intentions and his actions led to the prevention of a death, but he still did it without consideration for the rules that all doctors in his hospital are required to observe. And given that Bailey is the chief, she is obviously put in a difficult position.
According to many fans, the right way to resolve this situation would be for Bailey to take whatever administrative actions the rulebook requires her to, and Ben should not feel any animosity towards her as a result of that. After all, he chose his own actions and he should have known what the final outcome would be.
Last but not least, there are also reports that Stephanie will soon be back in the picture, and the writers are apparently actually preparing something very special for her. It’s not very clear what she’s about to go through, but Jerrika Hinton – the actress behind Stephanie’s character – remarked that her character’s actions are something that would be out of the question for her in real life.
Still, there is some time before we see what the fuss is about, as reports indicate that the plot twist will not take place until around the end of the season. Which, of course, gives fans plenty of time to discuss what they might see. There are already some interesting theories around communities related to the show, but we don’t expect the producers or anyone else on the crew to spoil the surprise in advance. Of course, that hasn’t stopped fans from doing their best to guess.
