The long-delayed release of the heists DLC for the multiplayer game “Grand Theft Auto V Online” had gamers content waiting for leaks and source codes of what’s in store for the open world action adventure video game.
In mid-December, massive leaks of “GTA V Online” from renowned YouTuber and GTA enthusiast iCrazy Teddy went practically viral as it featured six new heist missions in four unique locations of the game.
It was reported at that time that game developer Rockstar would finally be releasing the promised heists DLC just before Christmas. There were even speculations that some Christmas DLCs were included in the upcoming heists missions.
Christmas came but there was still no heists DLCs. But instead of being anxious over the last 453 days since the heists was promised, gamers got more excited than ever.
“GTA V Online” gamers refer to the website www.aretheheiststhereyet.com to keep track of the number of days that they have been waiting for Rockstar to deliver on its promise.
Up until early December, the page opens with the exact number of days of waiting and an answer to the question posed by the name of the website. Previously, it was a big “NO.” Over the past couple of days however, the page already has “ALMOST” in it instead of the “NO,” which means that the heists DLC are indeed within the gamers’ reach.
Speculations are now rife that the heists DLC will finally be coming in early January 2015 but until Rockstar finally makes the announcement or confirmation, everything is still up in the air.
More leaks in exchange for delay
It seems that Rockstar has found an antidote to the anxious and agonizing wait of “GTA V Online” gamers by allowing a sneak peak of the upcoming heists DLC through renowned GTA leakers in the internet.
One day after Christmas, another certified “GTA V” tipster Shady Lapse, leaked 12 source codes for the upcoming heists DLCs, through the Se7ensins forum. Subsequently, another YouTuber and GTA enthusiast DomisLive detailed the leaks in his latest YouTube post.
The Latin Times reported that Rockstar will make these source codes available via the 1.20 patch for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and the 1.07 update for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Basing on the leaked source codes, it is almost likely that the heists DLC shall feature new weapons, clothings, new vehicles, a hydra jet fighter plane, animals, and new characters too.
According to the UK edition of the International Business Times, among the new weapons in the heists DLC are the electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) bombs, BZ Gas XM25 grenade launcher, and thermal bomb. The EMP bombs will surely be useful in disarming electronic equipment including security cameras, robots, and armed sentinels during the heist missions.
Some of the source codes also hint of the rumored armored vehicles including an APC tank as well as the highly-anticipated Hydra jet fighter plane. The DLC is expected to come with new combat clothings and masks too, cite the report.
The source code also suggests of some new animals to be included in the heists DLC which could be in the form of sniffing, hunting, or guard dogs to aid the cops in their missions.
The leak also mentioned of two new characters in the game once the heists DLC rolls out and these are Lester, who shall provide special assistance during heists missions, and Jeff, who shall give out tips on possible lucrative missions.

I wonder on the update if they cars or stuff we might need might be free? And while they are adding clothing and all the cool stuff I wonder ,if they are adding tattos ,and better ones . Even tho there some good ones but I want more and that u can have the opportunity to move them where ever u want them ?
