“Grand Theft Auto 5” on the PC is Worth the Long Wait, Says Gamers

Just like the online heists that took developer Rockstar Games all of 523 days to release since it promised it to gamers in October 2013, the roll out of the open-world action adventure game “Grand Theft Auto V” on the PC on April 14 was worth the long wait, says gamers.

Aside from the fact that the game runs fantastically well, Rockstar has actually given the biggest and most fleshed out open world video game since “The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim,” which is a cult favorite in the PC to this day, reports Forbes.

While the two games have different worlds so to speak, both have the most in-depth open world among video games of their times.

Unlike Skyrim, which features mods supported by Bethesda, the “GTA V” on the PC is hampered by Rockstar reluctance to support the same attribute, which normally ensures durability and longevity of the game, particularly among the modding community.

Getting players engaged

“GTA V” gives players the opportunity to explore the country sides. Along with the online heists on “GTA Online,” these enable Rockstar to keep players engaged until the release of “Grand Theft Auto 6” in a few years time.

While modding has been part of the “GTA IV” on the PC a few years back, Rockstar appears not intent on doing the same for “GTA V.”

In explaining its reason for the decision, Rockstar said that “GTA Online” has such a massive and vibrant community, it has been the main focus of the company to ensure that nothing detracts gamers from the experience and guarantee that it shall not have a negative impact on the overall community of players.

It may be an understandable strategy on the part Rockstar to have gamers play in its sandbox using its own set of players to shield them from online-invading mods. But eventually, gamers are still looking forward to the day when the developer finally sees the need to support full mod that “GTA V” truly deserves.

Big on waiting game

Rockstar has been big on the waiting game, particularly on the online heists and the “GTA V” on the PC.

Due to the lengthy waiting time for the online heists, everybody thought that Rockstar has something special in it that is why it took the developer so long to release it to the already waiting and very anxious gamers.

Upon its release however, gamers were actually one in unison in saying that indeed, the cooperative gameplay DLC is the best content that has ever come to “GTA” and to video gaming in general.

The DLC has enabled avid “GTA V” gamers the opportunity to work together as a team and pull of a string of intense multi-part raids and robberies across Los Santos and Blaine County.

In addition to the prison break and bank heists missions, “GTA V” gamers now have to contend with zombies too. When the heists DLC was released, Rockstar also provided gamers and fans more details and information to make their experience truly worth it.

Now, with the release of the “GTA V” on the PC, players are also saying the same thing. It was well worth the long wait.
