In a recent interview, Yamauchi said that people will not wait so much on a game that is way too far from being released. He said that since the game is “Gran Turismo,” fans and gamers deserve that it come to them earlier.
Yamauchi’s latest statement about the release date of “Gran Turismo 7” was consistent with his pronouncement sometime in October 2014. He also hinted that it seems pretty clear that the game will come in the next year and a half so it is likely that “Gran Turismo 7” will be released later in 2016, with the latest being early 2017.
According to Sony Computer Entertainment, “GT Sports” will be finished and rolled out sometime next year. There will be a beta testing phase for the game in the spring so it is likely that “GT Sports” will exclusively hit the PlayStation 4 in the summer of 2016.
However, this timeline is mere speculation at this time and will only be validated when Sony Computer Entertainment or Polyphony Digital makes an announcement about the release date of “GT Sports.”
“GT Sports” will also be the first game to partner with the FIA and will feature championships which will result in players being awarded real trophies alongside real-life racers. In other words, the game will be officially recognized also as a form of motorsports.
