And, according to reports, “Gran Turismo 7” is shaping up to be a masterpiece of a game.
In fact, recently, a community manager for the company has made a public statement to the game’s fans, promising that “Gran Turismo 7” on the PlayStation 4 will easily be the best experience in the franchise so far. He went on to say that the PS4 is a console with a lot of potential, and the development team is looking to realize it fully, making the game a great experience both in visual terms, as well as regarding its gameplay. This could potentially mean more advanced physics as well.
Eric Fishback immediately received a large number of questions about the game, as everyone present wanted to know more details – but he didn’t reveal anything specific about the upcoming title, understandably. Polyphony Digital have bene generally quite secretive about the new “Gran Turismo” lately, which could potentially mean that the company is preparing something really grand behind the scenes, and are waiting for the right time to make any big announcements.
The news was met with some skepticism from fans of the series, however. After the way the last game was handled, Polyphony have a lot to make up for – and if they want to make “Gran Turismo 7” the best game in the series, they will have to beat the gameplay of games that have established themselves as masterpieces in the racing genre. In essence, the company is claiming that they will release another masterpiece with “GT7” – and it’s easy to see how this statement could raise a few eyebrows in the game’s community, particularly among those who were previously excited about “Gran Turismo 6”.
Regardless, development of the game is moving forward with full speed, and more news is expected to be released regularly. If this really is being developed with the intention of making it the best “Gran Turismo” in history, then it’s expected that Polyphony Digital would also want to hype up the game appropriately, so they will definitely have some strong marketing before its release. Of course, the actual truth will come out when the game itself is released and reviews start rolling out.
