When “Gotham” was originally announced, many people imagined that the film would expand on Batman’s story and look at it from a different perspective, allowing fans to learn even more about the iconic character. And while most of that turned out to be true, the overall tone of the show has been a bit of a letdown for some since the very beginning.
The problem, according to some fans and critics, is that they expected a more serious tone from the show but got a rather comical experience. And while “Gotham” is still great on its own, it wasn’t the kind of show some fans wanted to see.
Now, the trailer for the upcoming third season has given us a glimpse into what the producers are planning, and it looks like they’ve been taking those criticisms into consideration. The new season of the show seems to retain most of what made “Gotham” so good originally, but at the same time it looks a bit more somber and down to earth.
Whether or not this change will play out in the producers’ favor is early to tell, as we’ve already gone through two seasons with the original style, and fans have gotten used to that to some extent. It’s entirely possible that season 3 will draw in even more people due to those changes though, so we’ll have to wait and see what the producers have prepared for us.
Some of the storylines that will be examined in more detail in the new season include the situation with the Penguin, as well as the relationships between some characters. In particular, Butch and Nygma are going to be under the spotlight to a bigger extent in this season, and it’s implied that the producers are going to use their relationship as a counterpart to the one between Butch and the Penguin.
It will be interesting to see how the two characters work together, and they will have a very interesting on-screen dynamic. Hopefully the producers are going to utilize that opportunity to its full extent, as they can set up some interesting developments for the show’s future.
It sounds like the new season will be a bit more dramatic in terms of relationships between some characters, and while that might not be the top priority of some of its fans, it should still make for an interesting season.
We’ve already seen some versions of Batman exploring those topics on a deeper level, and they turned out fine, so the third season of “Gotham” has a very good chance at success as well. The producers will just have to be careful not to make their changes too fast, as this could turn some fans away from the show.
It’s obvious that the showrunners behind “Gotham” are in an interesting spot right now due to the initial reception to the show, and the next season is going to be even more critical in determining its future. It’s good to see that they’re willing to make changes to the format, but hopefully it’s not too late for that.
Another hot topic among fans is the introduction of Harley Quinn. While many expect to see her at some point during season 3, the show’s producers have shared some interesting hints in this regard. According to them, fans might actually already know who Harley Quinn is, as they’ve seen her on the screen before.
