GoPro Hero 5 Won’t Be Coming by the End of this Year; Action Camera Set for an Early 2016 Release

The American manufacturer released the GoPro Hero+ LCD last June. It provides video recording at 1080p at 6 fps and 8MP photos. It has a touch screen to easily review photos and allowing users for a smoother navigation.

A month after, the company released the Hero 4 Session, which is a budget action camera that is 50% smaller and 40% lighter than the other versions of the GoPro Hero 4 cameras.

When it comes to price, the Day Herald speculates that the upcoming action camera will cost around $550, but rumors say that it will be lower than that since a lot of action cameras are already out in the market today.

With all the rumored improvements and enhancements for the GoPro Hero 5, battery performance is also expected to keep up.

Most users of older versions of the camera have had issues with the device’s battery. Some say that it drains faster than expected while others say that it doesn’t reach full charging state amid the device being charged for almost two hours already.

Details about the upcoming device are still sparse at the moment, but GoPro Inc. will definitely unveil the specs, exact release date, and price of the Hero 5 soon. One thing’s for sure, though, fans hope that it will be worth the wait.
