GoPro has given every single person the sense of adventure and the ability to record each step of the way in premium quality resolutions. Even though the GoPro cameras have higher prices compared to other companies, the name says it all and the quality tops all others.
As you can imagine, the latest rumors and other information about the upcoming GoPro Hero 5 have been flying around the web as fans of the gadget talk about their wishlist. The GoPro Hero 4 already does some great things in a small package, but those that use it know that it can do more and they are expecting that the next time around. According to one source, the GoPro Hero 5 could arrive on the market with the ability to record 8k resolutions.
The resolution that high would catapult the GoPro Hero 5 in front of any other action camera on the market, easily. As of right now, all of the information about the GoPro Hero 5 points to a release next year during the first quarter and all eyes are on any confirmation from the company. Another source reported that the new camera could include a new A10 chip that would allow it to record 4k resolution at 60 frames per second.
Currently, you can record in 4k resolution, but only at 30 framer per second and that can be a little choppy at times. It looks like another rumor is that the GoPro Hero 5 will come with Bluetooth connectivity which will allow for faster upload speeds. It will also be waterproof up to 60 meters, which is a little more than 50 feet further than the GoPro Hero 4 for example. If these types of features come along with the GoPro Hero 5, it will be the best, handheld action camera on the market by far.
Even though all of these features are great, they are going to come at a price, just like everything else that you can upgrade these days. The GoPro Hero 4 is priced around $500 in most places around the world and according to at least one source, consumers can expect that the GoPro Hero 5 be priced between $400 and $500 when it arrives next year. Other rumors coming from GoPro include one that says the company is looking at releasing its own quad-copter.
