GoPro Hero 5 Gears to Take the Mantle as the World’s Most Powerful Videographic Equipment When it Launches in Early 2016

GoPro Hero 5 is set to take the mantle as the world’s most powerful videographic equipment when it finally launches early next year. The action camera was set to be launched on October 5 but the American tech company specializing on camcorder and videographic equipment decided to push it back to next year in order to allow for unprecedented upgrades to the device.

Apparently, GoPro wants to live up to the hype that the Hero 5 has established since late last year. The company wants the device to become the best action camera that it has come up with upon its roll out by next year.

While others may think of it as a lofty ambition, it is actually a major goal for GoPro because the company is optimistic that it can meet consumer expectations given its credentials with the launch of the groundbreaking GoPro Hero camcorders in the past couple of years.

According to a report by Breathecast, there is a slim chance however that GoPro Hero 5 could be launched towards the end of 2015 but it seems unlikely at this point.

As has previously been reported, the delay in the launch in the latest action camera from GoPro is to buy the company some time to incorporate more new technologies to the device and make it really the best there is when it comes out in the retail markets next year.

The GoPro Hero 5 is reportedly waterproof and is said to be functional underwater up to a depth of 60 meters, which would enable it to deliver better underwater recording capabilities no other videographic equipment out in the market today can match.

Change of launching pace

The delay in the launching of the GoPro Hero 5 is a deviation from the typical release schedule of the company for its new cameras.

The Ecumenical News cited that GoPro has been rolling out new cameras at such a quick and remarkable pace recently. After launching the GoPro Hero LCD earlier year, it quickly followed it up with the GoPro Hero 4 Session.

But the delay in the launch of GoPro Hero 5, as previous reports indicate, is intentional on the part of the company to further finetune and make it really superb by equipping it with the latest innovations.

Accordingly, the GoPro Hero 5 will just be half the size and weight of its predecessor. It will have the capability to capture 8K videos at Full Ultra HD, which is twice the 3,840 x 2,160 resolution that the GoPro Hero 4 has.

The device can also record 4K resolution videos at 60 frames per second, 1,080-pixel resolution at 60 frames per second, 720-pixel at 100 frames per second, and 1,440-pixel at 30 frames per second.

Cheaper than its predecessor

If latest rumors are true that the GoPro Hero 5 will come out with a price cheaper than its predecessor, then the American camcorder manufacturing company will also be ushering a groundbreaking strategy that has never been employed by anybody in the market before.

It has always been the norm in the tech industry that whenever a new device comes out of the market, it is normally priced higher than its predecessor.
