GoPro Hero 5 Black and Hero 5 Session to Officially Hit the Market on October 2 Featuring Simpler Menu System

.
The throw-in features of GoPro Plus sort of tip GoPro’s hand on how it will have to market the new cameras. The flagship features of both the Hero 5 Black and the Hero 5 Session are not really unique. They can mostly be found from competitors like Sony or Garmin, but the strong top-to-bottom experience that GoPro’s always offered gets even stronger

Though the Hero 5 is mostly impressive, it is not perfect. The professional-grade electronic image stabilization on the Hero 5 Session was not the best quality as some of the footages that were captured had a warped fisheye effect to it, points out Engadget.

GoPro did not mention the processor of the Hero 5 Black and the Hero 5 Session but it looks like it is the Ambarella H1 processor as previously reported.

Ambarella is known as a developer of low-power, high-definition (HD) and Ultra HD video compression and image processing products. Its products are used in a variety of HD and Ultra HD cameras including IP-cameras, sports cameras, wearable cameras, flying cameras, and automotive video camera recorders.

Its chipsets are also being used in broadcasting TV programs worldwide, so it is not surprising that GoPro went for the Ambarella H1 processor for its Hero 5 Black and Hero 5 Session.
