While the Apple iPad Mini 3 has been revealed alongside the iPad Air 2, Nexus 9 is witnessing a major delay. Although Nexus 9 will release at a scheduled time on U.S soil, it seems to have hit a barrier elsewhere. Compared to these, the Apple iPhone 6 Plus has already released worldwide and is readily available. Let’s take a look at these three devices and see how the fare against each other.
Google Nexus 9:
The 16 GB Wi-Fi only version of the Google Nexus 9 is available at $399. The 32 GB variant, on the other hand, costs around 479 dollars. The LTE version will come with Wi-Fi only and costs higher at 599 dollars. Although, it hasn’t caught on like its budget-oriented tablet and predecessor, the Nexus 7, the Nexus 9 is geared up for a successful run. It comes with an 8.9-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels.
It boasts of pixel density around 281 pixels per inch, which does not make it the highest in its category as many smartphones and tablets come with higher pixel densities. On the contrary, it is good and vibrant even with a lower ppi.
The Nexus 9 draws power from a 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 Dual Denver processor operating at 2.3 GHz, with 2 GB of RAM and an 8 megapixel primary shooter. It further comes with a 1.6 megapixel secondary shooter as well. Besides these, the tablet is standard in nature with all the Android privileges you can think of. Primarily, the tablet will feature Android v5.0 Lollipop right out-of-the-box.
Apple iPad Mini 3:
The Apple iPad Mini 3 comes with a LED backlit IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. It has a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels with a screen size of 7.9 inches. The device sports a pixel density of about 324 ppi. It supports multi-touch functions and comes with an oleophobic coating.
It is available in 16/64/128GB variants, running on a 1 GB DDR3 RAM. It has a 5 megapixel primary shooter with a front facing 1.2 MP secondary camera. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz Dual-core Cyclone (ARM v8-based) CPU and PowerVR G6430 (quad-core graphics). It comes with iOS 8.1, running on the A7 architecture.
Apple iPhone 6 Plus:
Fingerprint sensor and Apple Pay are two great features on this device. It has an LED-backlit IPS LCD display. At 5.5 inches, it supports a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels at 401 ppi pixel density. It comes with internal storage of 16/64/128GB variants running on 1 GB of RAM. It has an 8 MP primary and a 1.2 MP front-facing shooter. It comes with iOS 8, upgradable to iOS 8.1 and works on the A8 architecture.
