Google Nexus 9 News and Updates, Release Date, the List of Devices Receiving it!

It is expected that the Android 7.1 Nougat OTA Update will be rolled out on Nexus 9 and Google Nexus 6, sometime in December. It will come with new and improved fixes from Android 7.0.  After the Android 7.0, it’s the idea of this new Android, the Android Nougat 7.1 OTA version that is exciting people’s imagination.

Although, a specific date for the roll out hasn’t been officially declared, it is expected that the Google Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Players will receive the update in the month of December. Originally, the Google Nexus 6 was launched in the year 2014, and developed by Motorola.

Given, the impending launch of Pixel and Pixel XL by Google soon, the Google Nexus 6 remains one of the last remaining Nexus Devices in the market still. As Nexus 6 has received the Android 7.0 Nougat support, and will further be getting the 7.1 update as well, towards the end of this year, it is clear that Google is still supporting their old phones.

Some users are apparently disappointed or not so thrilled about the news of the update roll out. This is because users with devices supporting the Android 7.0 Nougat, were looking forward to the Android 7.1 Nougat. However, sadly, not all Android based devices will get the 7.1 Nougat first hand, unlike Nexus device owners.

As we all know that the Nexus devices, which can now also be referred to, now as Pixel, and the Operating Systems of Android are all acquired and retained by Google. Hence, automatically, whenever the company launches a new and improved version of the Android OS, the Pixel and Nexus are the first to get the upgrade.

Android based devices from different manufacturers have to wait for the update because of the bug fixes that have to be adjusted with the Operating Systems. In a recent post by neurogadget, it was mentioned that while Google is already making preparations to make the Nougat 7.1 update available for the users; Brands like Huawei, Samsung and Sony are not working still to get the Android 7.0 update.

This Android 7.1 Nougat OTA Update will be accessible for some devices like Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and Pixel C by the last week of October. However, it will appear as a final build in December this year. Not only that, it will also roll out for the newest Pixel devices like the Google Pixel XL and the Google Pixel.

The Android 7.1 Nougat OTA Update is, moreover, anticipated to roll out with several improvements added for the Android 7.0 form; one such being, the addition of the Daydream VR platform, making the device really fun to use.

The Google Nexus is going to be phased out in the near future, with the unveiling of the Pixel and Pixel XL phone in the market. The update to get Android 7.0, proceeded by, the 7.1 update will be the final updates for the Nexus 6.

According to iTech Post, the Android version 7.0 has been released for Nexus 6, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 9, and Pixel C. It has come under notice that for some of the older devices, namely the Nexus 6, users have encountered with a few issues. But the same report shows the fans are thrilled nonetheless to have simply received the update.

Besides that, the report also informs of the list of other devices that have got the Android 7.0 Nougat update. This list comprises of numerous Sony Xperia devices, Samsung Galaxy variants, the Motorola Moto X and Moto X, alongside HTC phones. The OnePlus 2 and the OnePlus 3 are also contained within that list.
