Google Nexus 8 Expected To Launch Late Next Month!

Technology is changing very quickly in the mobile world and you can see it happen right before your eyes with all of the gadgets that come from Apple, Google, Samsung, HTC, LG and so many others. With that being said, it is about time we talk a little more about the next tablet that is coming from Google.

Google released the Nexus 7 a few years ago and there was a second generation a year or so later. A third generation was rumored for sometime now and it looks like it will finally see the store shelves at the end of next month. As you can imagine, and just like with any other new gadget, there are plenty of rumors, speculation from Google tablet fans and the leaked images. The first leaked images of what some are calling the Google Nexus 8 show the tablet placed next to a tape measure to authenticate the size of the device.

The ruler shows the device measuring about 7.8 inches in length, so that goes along with the rumors that it was going to be one inch larger than the Nexus 7 models. The 8-inch display on the Google Nexus 8 is going to support 4:3 aspect ratio, according to sources online. Other features that can be grabbed from the images that were leaked online include an all metal frame, with at least one speaker grille in the corner of the device. The rest of the specs have been rumors for a few months and speculation is allowing them to gain steam.

According to the sources online that are posting about the rumors, the Google Nexus 8 is going to have Android Lollipop 5.1.1. pre-installed when it shows up at your house. There will be a chipset from MediaTek that is clocked at 1.3Ghz inside to keep things moving fast and that is about all the rumors that have shown up to this point. The latest released Android software is still the Lollipop versions that you are seeing on new tablets and smartphones from other companies, but there have been rumors of Android 6.0 coming soon.

Google Nexus 8

One of the most popular rumors of the day comes by way of the Google Nexus 8 coming with Android 6.0 Marshmallow pre-installed, but that has yet to be confirmed by anyone from Google. The first two models of the Nexus tablet came from ASUS, with a third model that measured 9-inches coming from HTC. The Google Nexus 9 tablet was very powerful, came with a 1536×2048 pixel display and was powered by the Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset that included a dual-core, 1.5Ghz processor. Even though it only had a dual-core processor, it was packed with 3GB of RAM so things were still moving quite smooth on the device.
