It has been previously rumored that the Google Nexus 7 2016 shall come out this month or around the time when the latest Google mobile operating system, the Android 7.0 Nougat, comes out in the market, which was speculated to be in August as well.
The Android 7.0 Nougat was officially released on August 22 by Google but the Nexus 7 2016 did not come out with it.
Now, the rumors are saying that the latest flagship smartphones from Google shall come out in November already sporting NVIDIA’s latest chipset technology, notes the Christian Times.
In fact, one website specifically mentioned that the Google Nexus 7 2016 shall be released on November 24.
However, Google has yet to confirm or deny this new release date rumors so it should still be taken with a fine grain of salt.
In addition to the release date speculation, the latest piece of information with regards to the Google Nexus 7 2016 has something to do with its chipset, which accordingly shall be coming out with an NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor and shall also come with a 2TB worth of expandable storage option.
Previous rumors actually stated that the Google Nexus 7 2016 shall feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset or at least its high-end variant.
Two premium handset versions
The Google Nexus 7 2016 shall reportedly come out via two premium handsets, which according to the hype shall be the best Stock Android devices ever to come out.
Previous rumors said that the new Stock Android smartphones shall be fired up by the latest and greatest chipset from Qualcomm. So the NVIDIA processor rumor is quite new. It shall reportedly include Vulkan graphics support and OpenGL 3.0 support.
It has also been reported that the Google Nexus 7 2016 shall have significant shooting refinement and enhancements with the reported inclusion of the Sony IMX179 camera sensor.
What seems consistent among the rumors for the device is that it shall come out with two variants, which are going to be called as the Marlin and the Sailfish.
There have been reports that the two variants of the Google Nexus 7 2016 shall be made in collaboration with HTC or Huawei or both, which means that one could focus on the manufacture of the other while the other shall focus on the development of the other.
The consensus is that HTC may be tasked to manufacture the high-end Marlin while Huawei can be tapped to develop the Sailfish. However, these remain as speculations at this time pending the confirmation from Google.
A surprise move
Critics and fans were actually surprised that Google did not announce the Nexus 7 2016 with the Android 7.0 Nougat when the latter was rolled out on August 22.
Instead of the Google Nexus 7 2016 as the first device to sport the Android 7.0 Nougat, the bragging rights shall belong to the LG V20, notes the PC Advisor.
Because of the no-show of the Google Nexus 7 2016 upon the launching of the Nougat, there have been wild speculations that the device was not true at all.
However, some fans and critics believe that Google was not just ready yet with its flagship device at that time so it decided to push back to be able to make some more last-minute tweaks and fine-tuning until it fully satisfies itself that it has a great device.
There are also reports saying that Google might be planning to drop the Nexus 7 2016 next month in order to steal the thunder from the latest iPhones from Apple – the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus.
With the launching of the next iPhones from Apple just around the corner, there are also speculations saying that the two variants of the Google Nexus 7 2016 shall lock horns or go head-to-head with the latest iPhones.
It is possible that the iPhone 7 shall go up with the Sailfish while the Marlin will be pitted against the bigger iPhone 7 Plus.
