Google Nexus 6 vs. Apple iPhone 6 vs. Samsung Galaxy S5: Motorola Introduces the Latest Challenger!

Google is back in mainstream action with the Nexus 6. This device aims at taking on the iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S5 head on. While Google currently has the Nexus 5 on offer, they will sell the Nexus 6 simultaneously. Here is how the three devices compare against each other.

Google Nexus 6:

The Google Nexus 6 features a massive 5.96-inch quad HD AMOLED display sporting 1,440 x 2,560 pixel resolution along with Turbo Charge capabilities. It runs on Android v5.0 Lollipop out of the box. It draws power from a 2.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor along with Adreno 420 GPU.

It runs on 3GB of RAM and features 64 GB of non-expandable built in storage. It has a 13 MP primary camera along with a 2 MP secondary lens and draws power from a non-removable 3,220 mAh Li-Po battery.

The Google Nexus 6 draws heavy design cues from the Motorola Moto X since both devices are manufactured by the same parent firm. The Nexus 6 is pixel rich, which gives it a very interesting and high-end display quality.

The 13 MP primary camera on the Nexus 6 is a revelation and features a dual LED ring flash and optical image stabilization. It is capable of filming 4K videos at 30 fps and supports 4K video streaming. The Google Nexus 6 also boasts of a 2MP secondary camera.

Apple iPhone 6:

The Apple iPhone 6, on the other hand, boasts of a 4.7-inch LED IPS Backlit LCD capacitive display sporting 16 M color definition along with 750 x 1,334 pixel resolution. It features Oleophobic coating and Shatter Proof Glass along with 326 ppi density.

The iPhone 6 features a single GB of RAM and is available in 16, 64 and 128 GB of built-in storage. The 8 MP primary camera on the device is capable of filming at 3,264 x 2,448 pixel resolution and features a dual LED flash with autofocus.

The Apple iPhone 6 runs on iOS 8 and is upgradable to iOS 8.0.2. It draws power from a dual core 1.2 GHz Cyclone ARM v8-based CPU sand PowerVR GX6450 quad-core GPU. It features a non-removable 1,810 mAh Li-Po battery.

Samsung Galaxy S5:

As compared to both these devices, the Samsung Galaxy S5 feels a little old since it is. While the Google Nexus 6 and Apple iPhone 6 are the current flagships that have been released within the last few months, Samsung is yet to come up with their reply – the Galaxy S6. The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a Super AMOLED display sporting 16 M colors and 1,080 x 1,920 pixel resolution and 432 ppi density. It runs on Android v4.4.2 and draws power from a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU.
