In the newest episode of “Parenthood” in its current sixth season, “We Made It Through the Night”, the Bravermans have to face some startling realizations, and the episode is full of emotions – both positive as well as sadder ones. Things seem to be moving towards a definite conclusion at this point, much to the disappointment of fans who were hoping for a longer run. Right now, Joel and Julia have gotten back together, and Sarah has decided to accept Hank’s proposal. Adam isn’t very good at working in his own direction, unlike Zeek who seems to be getting better at standing up for himself.
A lot happened during the episode, as well as in the show in general recently. Millie has decided to go on a hike in the hills with Zeek, which goes about as well as most would expect, given Zeek’s poor physical condition, as the man constantly has to stop, take a break, and catch his breath. Millie seems oblivious to his troubles throughout the ordeal, which raises the question of what she was trying to achieve. In the end, the two have a touching moment where they solidify their relationship and love for one another, and confirm that they’ll always be by each other’s side.
Amber has a strong contraction at one point in the episode, while she’s helping Sarah and Hank with their wedding planning. They seem very confused and alerted by the situation, not very sure how to respond to it, and start acting in a borderline comical way, trying to help her out with a blanket and offering a variety of other “solutions”.
They manage to get to the hospital, only to find that most of the Bravermans have already arrived, and there seems to be some obvious tension in the scenes that follow. Not everyone is in on it though, as some of the characters are trying to interact with each other on friendly terms and keep the situation cool, although their efforts seem to be somewhat in vain for the most part.
Many fans seem to have great expectations for the upcoming finale, although it’s still not clear exactly what it could bring in terms of plot developments. The writers of the show have made it certain until now that they enjoy playing with their viewers’ emotions to some extent, making them feel the good and the bad in their characters’ lives, so anything could happen next, realistically speaking. Needless to say, there have been plenty of speculations about possible developments of the plot for the finale, but the show’s writers and producers have been very tight-lipped about the situation, refusing to give even the slightest of hints.
