All that’s left now is to get an actual release date. If the launch really is planned for the fall season of 2017, this would give the developers quite a lot of time to give things an extra polish, and to also hype up their fans with some additional promotional releases and new information.
We actually hope that we’re going to see more communication with the franchise’s fans by the end of this year, as many people are asking for news about “God of War 4” right now, yet there are very few answers on the horizon.
It’s understandable that the people behind this game might want to be a bit quieter about it, considering the popularity of the franchise and how much is at stake. But at the same time, there is a huge demand for information from their fans, and they would be smart to satisfy it sooner rather than later.
Perhaps they’re preparing a major surprise with the next announcement about the game, and that’s why they have been so quiet about the release date. Or maybe the launch is actually right around the corner and fans don’t even suspect it. The latter bit would probably not make much sense, considering the overall popularity of the game and how much attention there is on its development, but it’s still something fans have been occasionally bringing up as a suggestion.
