‘Ghostbusters’ Reboot Promotes Girl Power; But Casts the 2014 Sexiest Man Alive!

Sony’s change of plans

Last January, the director of the upcoming “Ghostbusters” film tweeted that the reboot will hit theaters on July 22, 2016. However, it seems that Sony had a change of plans.

Early this month, Sony Pictures Entertainment announced that they will move the release date of the “Ghostbusters” reboot movie to July 15, 2016, a week earlier compared to the original schedule.

It appears that the filming production is in full blast since June 18. It was confirmed at that time that the team for the upcoming “Ghostbusters” movie were constructing the film’s sets in Boston, Massachusetts. Then, Feig tweeted on June 28 the costumes of the four ghost exterminators, adding another proof that the film’s production is already rolling.

In early July, some saw the crew of the “Ghostbusters” movie at the Chinatown, Boston for a few days. Then on August 1, the lead cast of the reboot visited Tufts Medical Center in Boston for two purposes: to film and to visit the patients.

Finally, on August 21, Hemsworth tweeted that he wrapped up filming for “Ghostbusters” film reboot. The actor even praised the director and the cast for giving him a wonderful time on the set.

With these details, the director, cast, and crew members of the upcoming “Ghostbusters” film are giving the public an overall idea that they are almost ready to release the supernatural comedy movie in theaters by July next year.
