A new love story on the longest American daytime drama on TV “General Hospital” on ABC may be brewing between Nikolas Cassadine, played by Tyler Christopher, and Hayden Barnes, played by Rebecca Budig.
The romance actually began when Nikolas moved Hayden into his mansion with the intention of keeping an eye on her as she recovers from her amnesia.
But his plan appears to have backfired as instead of him getting control over Hayden, Nikolas would lose his control and may fall for Hayden. It gets more interesting as Hayden might also reciprocate his romantic gesture thus creating a new love story for the popular soap opera, details Celeb Dirty Laundry.
Viewers are really starting to fancy Hayden in the soap opera as she is the type of woman who is not gullible and also does not back down. There is also a possibility that her amnesia is just her method of finding more answers from Nikolas especially with his schemes, lies, and machinations.
Her being at Wyndemere has given Hayden a front-row seat to all of Nikolas’ past activities and future plans but instead of being scared, she is walking straight right through it. For his part, Nikolas likes Hayden because he is getting comfortable with her and does not need to hide his darker side to Hayden the way he does to everyone else.
More than sex
In a recent interview, Rebecca Budig said that Hayden’s relationship with Nikolas was more than sex. The actress says that it tickles viewer curiosity that in the two months that she was in a coma, no one claimed her. The fact that nobody was looking for her means that there is no one in her life and there has to be some story there for Hayden.
According to speculations, Hayden may have an ex-husband heading for Port Charles to cause trouble. For the fans of the soap opera, the mystery of Hayden’s past is indeed quite compelling but, what’s more interesting is her future and how it is going to be linked to Nikolas.
Actor Tyler Christopher also said in a recent interview that “General Hospital” is in the middle of a writing change so it is hard to predict what will happen to Nikolas and Hayden.
However, he says that the romance of the two could allow the viewers to root for Nikolas despite his evil ways and Hayden’s predilection for stirring up trouble in Port Charles. The actor also added that Nikolas falling for Hayden would be a welcome character shift for him.
The man behind the mob violence
According to Realty Today, this week’s episodes of “General Hospital” may show that Paul is not the kind of goofy two shoes that he is projecting himself to be. He may actually be the one behind the mob violence at Port Charles.
Reports hint that Paul may have something to do with taking over Julian’s spot in the mob war. He has taken in Julian’s minions and will be pushing them to take Ava’s hard drive to use for blackmail.
Another major spoiler to be expected this week is the acceptance of Sam of Patrick’s proposal and the next question is whether their relationship would eventually lead to the altar or not.
In another plot, Jake will have the instinct to help his family members in time of crisis, even though he is not yet aware that his true identity is Jason Morgan.
Jake will extend his helping hand to Carly, even as Sonny remains confined in the hospital. Alexis, on the other hand, will convince Morgan into checking himself into the hospital to divert his attention from revenge and violence.
Sonny will still think that Jake is Jason, but Liz will tell him that he is mistaken and that he was merely seeing things because of his medications.
