Gears of War 4 Performs Great on the Market, Anniversary DLC Coming, Game to Possibly Run on Project Scorpio, And More

“Gears of War 4” had a very successful release, and the game managed to live up to everything fans of the franchise were expecting from it. And while some claimed that it didn’t actually push the series forward that much, it was not innovation that most gamers were actually after when playing “Gears of War 4”. For many, simply getting more of the same seemed like just a good of a deal.

So far, the game’s sales numbers have been nothing short of amazing, and it’s clear that it was a successful release for its developers. With more than half a million copies sold in a week, most studios would probably just kick back and enjoy the profits at this point.

But it looks like things are actually just getting started, as many more things are coming up for “Gears of War 4”, and those who’ve invested in the game might enjoy their purchase even more in the near future.

One of the more interesting rumors we’ve heard about the title is that it might be one of the featured titles on Microsoft’s Project Scorpio when the new console comes out. While official details about the product have been very slow to make their way to the public, there have been multiple recent rumors claiming that “Gears of War 4” will be one of the main titles on the console.

On the other hand, we’ve also recently seen the release of a special content package to promote the 10th anniversary of the franchise, featuring quite a lot of content that kept gamers busy for a while. Several new items were made available for those who purchased the pack, including a few new Lancers and other pieces of equipment.

A few new bounties were added as well, and each of them is supposed to celebrate a specific game in the franchise. All in all, it’s obvious that the developers have put a lot of attention in the details of this release, and they have been enjoying quite the strong reception for it as well.

Those who still haven’t had a chance to check out the game but have been feeling curious might want to pick up the Ultimate Edition, which just recently arrived to the market at the attractive price of $59.99. That way, players who missed the game’s original launch can now check it out with even more content added to the base release for the same price.

The package has been out for a while, but for some reason players have been showing a lot of interest in it once again recently. The studio has been handling the marketing of this game in an overall spectacular way, giving their fans a chance to invest in exactly as much content as they want to have available.

Some have been more critical towards this release style however, claiming that it’s bordering on exploitation of the brand name. It’s true that all the extra content and editions might be a bit confusing to some newcomers to the franchise, but they also work wonders in attracting players from all corners of the industry, so we can’t blame the studio for going down this path.

It’s interesting to see just how much life there still is in this franchise despite its long presence on the market so far. People have been skeptical towards the release of “Gears of War 4” to some extent, claiming that the game will never manage to live up to the expectations of fans and that the studio should just put the series to rest at this point.
