The trailer for “Gears of War 4” has been released a few months ago by publisher Microsoft Studios and it introduced new game protagonist in J.D. Fenix as well as the new menace.
J.D. is the son of Marcus Fenix, who is the hero of the first three “Gears of War” video games. But whatever he is up against, it seems that it would not be a walk in the park for him as the trailer hinted that it looks very nasty and very undead at the minimum.
Incidentally, Marcus also showed up in the trailer in J.D.’s childhood flashback but that is the most where he will be as “Gears of War 4” would all be his son’s show.
The trailer of the highly-anticipated video game took a page from the first game’s landmark “Mad World” trailer released back in 2006. It also used a pensive and sorrowful melody in “The Sound of Silence” by Simon & Garfunkel and covered by Disturbed.
The video actually mixes exaggerated and dramatic visuals with a sad song, which is a song of the moment, having debuted in the Billboard Top 100 recently because of Sad Affleck.
“Gears of War 4” is the fourth main installment of the game but is actually the fifth installment in the “Gears of War” series.
