Gamers Unhappy Over Always-on Internet Connection for Upcoming ‘Need for Speed’ Reboot

It is still not clear if “Need for Speed” reboot will be released as an MMO game or a tie-in single-player and multi-player gameplay into a single cohesive experience like the “Need for Speed: Rivals.”

But if it is indeed true that the upcoming game will require an always-on internet connection, then “Need for Speed” reboot will just likely push gamers who like racing games a lot to either stick with older game titles, or find solace in some other racing video games available in the market today.

EA will be participating in the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 to be held in Los Angeles, California on June 16 to 18 so it is possible that the publisher may let loose some more details about the game during the event. “Need for Speed” reboot is a brainchild of a team of game developers including the Canadian company EA Black Box and British firm Criterion Games and Swedish developer Ghost Games.
