Game of Thrones Season 7 to See Daenerys at the Dragonpit in King’s Landing!

During the Season 6 finale of the HBO hit series “Game of Thrones,” Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke, and her army has set sail for King’s Landing in an attempt to retake the Iron Throne from Cersei Lannister, played by Lena Headey.

Cersei Lannister took over the Iron Throne from her son Tommen Baratheon because he pledged support to the High Septon and the Sparrows, whom the erstwhile Queen Regent burned with wildfire as well as the Tyrells including Queen Margaery, Sir Loras, and their father.

It can be recalled that during the Season 6 final episode, Lord Varys, played by Conleth Hill, has worked out an alliance between the Tyrells and Daenerys through Lady Olenna, played by veteran actress Diana Rigg, the grand matriarch of the Tyrells. Lady Olenna has revenge written all over her face against Cersei so she and her army have joined the forces of the resurging Mother of Dragons.

It would not take a genius to presume that the Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” next year shall feature Daenerys and her army arriving in King’s Landing and a major battle would surely ensue.

The latest spoiler is also suggesting that viewers can look forward to Daenerys going into the Dragonpit at King’s Landing.

Because she has three dragons with her, it is obvious why Daenerys would be taking a look at the Dragonpit, which her family once used to house the dragons of the Targaryens. But when the Mad King was killed and the Targaryens were booted out of power by the Baratheons, the Lannisters, and the Starks, the Dragonpit was destroyed, details Watchers on the Wall.

Conducting oculars for possible locations

While filming for Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” has yet to begin, there are reports going around that some production team members have been going around Belfast in Ireland to scout for possible filming location for the TV series.

In addition, there is also another set of production team looking and doing the same in Northern Ireland. The team was reportedly seen in Corbet, a village that hosted the Season 6 filming for the siege of Riverrun, featuring the Black Fish, Edmund Tully, and Jamie Lannister.

There is also the same team working on Spain for the scenes involving King’s Landing including the Dragonpit site.

It has already been confirmed that the Roman ruins called Italica in Santiponce, Seville in Spain shall be where the Dragonpit will be filmed.

Based on the fantasy novel series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” the Dragonpit is actually located just outside of King’s Landing so Queen Cersei Lannister would certainly not be thrilled finding out that a Targaryen and her dragons are just outside her doors.

Vying for an Emmy Award

Over the last couple of years, “Game of Thrones” has been piling up nominations and victories in the annual Emmy Awards and this year’s upcoming event is no exception.

However, unlike in previous years where the older cast members take the center stage in nominations and winners, it is now the turn of 19-year-old Maisie Williams to bask in the spotlight after she was nominated for an Emmy acting award following her superb rendition of her Arya Stark role in Season 6 of “Game of Thrones.”

Arya turned from a blind beggar to a Stark CIA agent towards the end, exacting her revenge on Walder Frey, played by David Bradley, who was the author of the massacre of her mother, her brother, her sister-in-law, and many Stark men during the Red Wedding back in Season 3, details Variety.

In a recent interview, Williams said that her biggest challenge during Season 6 was the use of contact lenses, to make it look like she was really blind in the show.

She was also thrilled when she found out that her character was the one who was going to kill Walder Frey. In fact, everyone on the production crew of “Game of Thrones” was telling her that she has got the best kill of any kill in the show ever. She also said that she felt very good about it.
