After the supposed major leak on the plotlines of the HBO hit series “Game of Thrones” came out early this month, the rumor mills are back to normal in churning out other speculations and theories, all of which should be taken with a pinch of salt as it did not come from official channels.
From the supposed major leak, some of the interesting tidbits of information were more about the almost certain alliance of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, which was already foretold by the title of the fantasy novel series, “A Song of Ice and Fire,” to which the TV series is based upon.
But it went the extra mile in disclosing that there would be more to the alliance of Jon Snow and Daenerys as it would lead to something romantic, which seems odd after it was hinted during the Season 6 finale of “Game of Thrones” that Jon Snow and Daenerys are blood relatives.
Based on the vision of Bran Stark, it was seen that Jon Snow was the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaeger Targaryen, older brother of Daenerys. So the Mother of Dragons is actually the aunt of Jon Snow.
Another interesting and rather odd information from the supposed major leak is the supposed three-way alliance between Jon Snow, Daenerys, and Cersei to fight off the Night King and the White Walkers.
Being in partnership with others is certainly not Cersei’s cup of tea and she showed it during the Season 6 finale when she almost wiped out the Tyrells at the Great Sept of Baelor when she got even with the High Septon and the Faith of the Seven by burning them all to the ground. The Lannisters and the Tyrells had the partnership when they fought off Stannis Baratheon when he came to King’s Landing.
The supposed major leak on “Game of Thrones” Season 7 also detailed something about Sansa Stark finally ordering the killing of Petyr ‘Littlefinger’ Baelish. But it did not mention about what will happen to the relationship of Sansa with Jon Snow.
Possible clash of the Starks
During the Season 6 finale of “Game of Thrones,” Jon Snow was shown being hailed as the new King of the North while Sansa exchanged a furtive glance with Littlefinger.
It can be recalled that Littlefinger arranged the help from the Vale to enable Jon Snow to defeat the Boltons during the Battle of the Bastards.
He also told his intention to Sansa that he wants to claim the iron throne with Sansa as his queen. Sansa turned down the offer. But critics believe that their looks while Jon Snow was being proclaimed as the King of the North indicate that Sansa may actually be considering the offer, notes Inverse.
She nearly became a queen when she married Joffrey Baratheon but that did not go well. She has tasted how to be a royalty in King’s Landing so it is possible that she will be having such notion as well.
Thus, it is possible that Sansa and Jon Snow may have an eventual clash in the future especially if the King of the North agrees to support Daenerys to become the new ruler of Westeros.
As it is, Sansa is also very queenly on her own but she can only command so much of an army in the North which is miniscule compared to that of Daenerys’ or even that of Cersei Lannister Baratheon’s.
Where would Arya fit into all of it
Now that Arya Stark is back in the North as she was last seen in Riverrun slitting the throat of Walder Frey, it would also be interesting to find out where would she figure into the scheme of things when she returns to Winterfell, notes Winter is Coming.
For sure, she has her sights on killing Cersei so she would probably be on the frontlines along with his brother Jon.
There are still plenty of characters to consider in “Game of Thrones” and it would be interesting to find out how they will all fit together to make that penultimate season exciting all the way to a very satisfying conclusion for Season 8.
