Sometime last year, a major leak for the HBO hit series “Game of Thrones” Season 7 took the internet by storm and many believed that it was the real deal.
However, some people, who claimed to be insiders in the production of arguably the most popular TV series today, say that the leak was a misdirect and that those were meant only to get people into talking about the upcoming seventh season of “Game of Thrones.”
Back then, the most important information that was revealed was the supposed romantic tryst between Jon Snow, played by Kit Harrington, and Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke, since they have a common goal in bringing down Cersei Lannister from the iron throne in King’s Landing.
In the absence of the sixth book from the fantasy novel series of critically-acclaimed author George R.R. Martin, entitled “The Winds of Winter,” it seems that the spoiler is accurate especially considering the fact that the title of the novel is “A Song of Ice and Fire,” which could very well mean the union of ice and fire.
Every fan of “Game of Thrones” knows that ice is represented by Jon Snow, and he is now the new King of the North after reclaiming Winterfell from Ramsay Bolton and his army. Daenerys, on the other hand, is known as the Mother of Dragons and thus represents fire.
Confirming the romance
A few days ago, a Reddit user by the name of dimbismp claimed that he got wind of a leak and confirmed that Jon Snow and Daenerys would really meet and discuss strategies not against Cersei Lannister but on how they would battle and defeat the White Walkers.
This means that Daenerys would unseat Cersei and defeat the Lannisters to claim the iron throne right in the first few episode of Season 7 of “Game of Thrones.”
The Reddit user went on to say that Jon Snow and Daenerys will also develop a romantic bond and that it would happen in episode 3 of “Game of Thrones” Season 7.
According to him, Jon Snow will be summoned by Daenerys, who wants him to bend his knee for the new Queen of the iron throne and Westeros, but the King of the North will reportedly refuse, details the International Business Times of UK.
However, with the prodding of Tyrion Lannister, played by Peter Dinklage, Jon Snow will swear fealty to Daenerys in exchange for her help in the war against the White Walkers.
Gradually they grow to admire each other and they have sex at the end of episode 7, which is the Seasons 7 finale. The leaked description also said that Jon Snow and Daenerys will be together for most of “Game of Thrones” Season 7.
Confirming the reunion of the Starks
The same leak also confirmed the reunion of the four remaining Stark siblings as Arya and Bran will eventually join Jon and Sansa at Winterfell.
The leaks also stated that Littlefinger’s fate will be decided by the fierce assassin Arya and her siblings Bran and Sansa.
Based on the leak, Sansa will realize, with the help of Bran, by the end of the season, that she is being played by Littlefinger as he tries to set the two sisters against each other.
But Littlefinger won’t survive it and Arya will execute him at the end of Season 7, the Redditor said.
Meanwhile, the cast members of “Game of Thrones” took a Christmas break from filming Season 7 but they have since resumed production at the start of the new year.
In fact, actress Emilia Clarke has been spotted flying into Belfast, Ireland, which is the show’s production hub.
It would be the first time in the history of the TV series that the show will shoot material for a new season in the same year as that season will air.
Previously, all the filming was wrapped up by December. This year, the production wanted to wait so it could shoot in naturally snowy conditions, the better to capture the realness of the winter that has finally come to Westeros, reports Winter is Coming.
