A Reddit user with the name of awayforthelads has recently posted a list of astonishing spoilers for Season 7 of the HBO-hit TV series “Game of Thrones,” which according to him, is the leaked entire plotline of the show.
Critics and fans are now divided over the veracity of the alleged leak. Some are taking it hook, line, and sinker.
While the discerning ones raised doubts on some of the details as provided for in the explosive leak, notes the Mirror of UK.
Certainly, the most contentious part of the leak is when it said that Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen, Queen Cersei Lannister of King’s Landing, and King of the North Jon Snow would form an unlikely alliance apparently to fight the Night King and the White Walkers when Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” airs on HBO around the summer of next year.
Based on previous reports, although winter has come, the battle between the humans and the White Walkers will not come to a boil just yet in Season 7. What will come to a head is the battle between Queen Cersei and Daenerys who, as of the Season 6 finale, was already sailing with her army from Mereen to King’s Landing.
Cersei just cannot collaborate with anybody
Critics believe that it would be absurd to see Cersei working together with Daenerys since the Mother of Dragons is out to get the iron throne from her. Daenerys also knows that it was Cersei’s brother Jamie who killed his father, Aerys Targaryen, the Mad King.
Although forgiveness may be a good idea which is what she did to Tyrion Lannister, it just does not make sense especially for a character like Cersei who is very shrewd right from the beginning.
Jon Snow can work together with Daenerys since the two of them are blood relatives by virtue of the fact that Jon Snow’s father is Daenerys’ brother Rhaeger and his mother is Lyanna Stark, the sister of Ned Stark.
But Jon Snow working side-by-side with Cersei is simply surreal since the Lannisters were responsible for the death of Ned Stark and also partly responsible for the deaths of Lady Catelyn and Robb Stark.
Simply put, Cersei just cannot work with everybody else other than Jamie perhaps.
The leak appears to be unrealistic because the previous rumors are more grounded. In those set of rumors, Daenerys and Jon Snow would forge an alliance and defeat Cersei Lannister. The Mother of Dragons shall become the new Queen of Westeros with Jon Snow as her King of the North.
Then in Season 8, Jon Snow and Daenerys shall be working together to fight the Night King and White Walkers and their alliance is what the title of the novel, “A Song of Ice and Fire,” is all about where the TV series is based on.
A fan guesswork
Some critics are also saying that the leak could simply be a fan guesswork and is meant to deflect the viewers from the real plotline of the TV series.
The supposed alliance of Daenerys, Cersei, and Jon Snow is not just between the three main characters of “Game of Thrones” but many other key characters including Ser Jorah, Lord Varys, Missandei, Qyburn, Euron Greyjoy, Thoros of Myr, Tormund Giantsbane, Beric Dondarrion, the Mountain, and the Hound to fight against the Night King and his White Walkers, details the Daily Mirror of UK.
The same leak is also saying that Jon Snow and Daenerys will finally meet and end up in bed together in the Season 7 finale, which seems not surprising but certainly not expected given that they are blood relatives.
There is also Arya Stark who shall reportedly execute Peter ‘Littlefinger’ Baelish after Sansa sees through the man with the help of her brother Bran when he tried to play off Arya against Sansa by using the letter Sansa wrote to Robb Stark under the duress of the Lannisters. This one is plausible since it seems just about right.
