Game of Thrones Season 6 to See the Return of Walder Frey in Episode 6 and the Hound in Episode 7, More Information

Season 6 of the HBO hit series “Game of Thrones” appears to be tying all its loose ends by continuously bringing back almost forgotten characters and killing them one by one.

Apparently, the idea for the showrunners and writers is to ensure that towards the end of the TV series either in Season 7 or Season 8, there would be less focus on the other unimportant or minor characters.

During the first episode of Season 6, the series killed off Prince Doran and his son over at Dorne in the hands of the Sand Snakes. In the second episode, the TV series killed off Theon and Yara Greyjoy’s father in the Iron Isles. In the third episode, it killed off Roose Bolton, his wife Wanda, and their baby, all at the hands of Ramsay Bolton. In the fourth episode, “Game of Thrones” killed off wildling Osha in the hands again of Ramsay Bolton, and Ser Alliser Thorne and three other men of the Nightwatch in the hands of Jon Snow.

Apparently, the killing of characters will continue even until the Season 6 finale of “Game of Thrones” but in order to do that, the show appears to be bringing back both important and unimportant characters since the first episode.

In episode 1, it featured the return of Bran Stark along with the Three-Eyed Raven, played by Max Von Sydow. But given that he is an important character, he ought not to be killed.

In the second episode, the father of Theon and Yara Greyjoy were featured momentarily only to be killed by his brother.

It was the same thing with Roose Bolton, Wanda, and their baby in the third episode. Osha also returned after a long absence from the TV series only to be killed off. The third episode also featured the return of Rickon Stark but as an important character, he ought not to be killed.

In episode 4, it also featured the return of Robin Arryn and Peter Baelish. Littlefinger seemed to have convinced the young and spoiled Lord of the Vale to join the looming battle between the Starks and the Boltons for the taking back of Winterfell.

Returning old characters

Reports have it that two more old characters will be returning in episodes 6 and 7 of “Game of Thrones.”

In Episode 6, the reports have it that it shall be Walder Frey of Essos who shall be featured. As the architect of the Red Wedding that caused the death Catelyn Stark and Robb Stark and his pregnant wife back in Season 3, Walder Frey is due to be exacted revenge upon by Jon Snow and Sansa Stark and it looks like it would be headed that way.

Episode 6 is titled “Blood of My Blood” and accordingly, it will feature the return of an old foe. The synopsis also says that Gilly shall finally able to meet Sam Tarly’s family. Over at Braavos, Arya Stark will face a difficult choice. And over at King’s Landing, Jamie Lannister will finally face off with the High Sparrow, reports the Independent of UK.

The same reports also suggest that Sandor Clegane, known as The Hound, shall be making a comeback in episode 7 of “Game of Thrones.”

The Hound was last seen in “Game of Thrones” Season 4 falling over a cliff after his battle with Brienne of Tarth.

Episode 7 is entitled “Broken Man” and its synopsis reads that the High Sparrow is eyeing another target even as Jamie confronts a hero. Arya will be making a plan even as the North is reminded.

A great warrior

It appears that it would be in the seventh episode where Jamie Lannister will face off against Septon Meribald, to be played by Ian McShane. Although there are also rumors that it could be the return of the Blackfish, a relative of the Starks.

As to how the North would be reminded, it seems that the white walkers will once again drumbeat their attack on the North in preparation for the coming of winter.
