It’s no secret that the show is designed in such a way, and it’s a factor that has been a point of debate within its community. Some people enjoy the explicit sex scenes, claiming that they add more authenticity to the show as a whole, but on the other hand, not everyone is on the same page.
Some claim that these scenes are simply too much and there have been joking comments comparing the show to “porn with a plot”, something that’s actually quite prevalent among “Game of Thrones” fans and the Internet as a whole.
In the end though, we don’t expect the producers to change their style in this regard anytime soon, as it’s part of the show, and exploring the more basic human instincts and parts of our nature is one of the main topics in the original works as well.
Whether or not the conflict with Emilia Clarke is going to have any impact on the show’s future is too early to tell, but this might not be the last we’re hearing about that, as far as we can tell. There might be something quite serious happening behind the scenes, but hopefully nothing too bad that could jeopardize the future of the show as a whole and put the production at risk.
