If you had any questions about Game of Thrones season 5 in the last few weeks, many of them were probably answered when HBO released new images to go along with the first full length trailer for the television series. The show released some images on the show’s official Facebook page and the internet was buzzing very loudly from that point forward. According to sources, the images show Tyrion plotting with Varys and Margaery Tyrell looking happy after Joffrey’s death.
From the images, fans of the show can easily determine that Maisie Williams will be playing Arya Stark again, Peter Dinklage will be back as Tryion Lannister and Kti Harington comes back as Jon Snow. For those of you that were wondering about Lena Headey, you will be happy to know that she is back as Cersei Lannister. You also get to see Alexander Siddig and Jonthan Pryce for the first time in the images.
The last two episodes for the last season were shown in IMAX in select locations and if you were lucky enough to see them that way, you were also treated to a showing of the first trailer to the new season. The trailer was recently released internationally and the fans could never be happier about it. The trailer also had some tidbits that were shared socially by fans and that included one-liners like “Nothing’s more hateful than failing to protect that one you love”, says Cersei. Another one-liner included Tyrion admitting “I don’t think I’m ready for what I deserve”.
Surprisingly, if you are a fan of the show, those one-liners mean a lot to you. The trailer was shared via social media very quickly and the buzz around Game of Thrones season 5 is growing with each week that a little more information is released or another rumor sites does some suggesting and speculating about the show. The fifth season of the show will be back on your HDTV on the 13th of April and it will adapt material from George RR Martin’s “A Feast for Crows” and “A Dance With Dragons”.
The trailer for the fifth season is titled “Justice Has A Price” and is about two minutes in length. It shows Jaime Lannister standing near the dead body of Tywin as the music is queued. The entire cast, plus a couple of the new ones are featured in the trailer and when you are done watching it, you might get the idea that vengeance is the theme for the new season.
