Game of Thrones Season 5 is barely a few months away, and fans are getting increasingly impatient for the new episodes to air. We are aware of a few unique aspects of the upcoming storyline that are to be incorporated in Season 5, even though the book reveals what happens next. Here are five things that GoT fans expect in 2015.
1. Walk of Shame:
One of the most awaited scenes of Season 5 is Cersei Lannister’s – played by Lena Headey – penance walk. Cersei is charged with trying to frame Margaery Tyrell – played by Natalie Dormer – and will have to walk nude from the Great Sept to the Red Keep and shave her head, as punishment.
The production team had to be extremely careful and discrete while filming this controversial scene as the fans were waiting to take a sneak peek into the film sets and take a few spy shots. The production crew had to shift to a different location in Dubrovnik, Croatia, in order to get past the strict public nudity laws of the region.
2. Additional Locations:
Tyrion was seen moving out South and Arya Stark – played by Maisie Wiliams – out to reach Braavos, Game of Thrones Season 5 is unlikely to carry on in the old cities. Fans can hence expect the series to move out to new locations this time. The famous city of Dorne, better known as Oberyn Martell’s – played by Pedro Pascal – hometown, will be showcased in Season 5.
3. Tyrion’s New Appearance:
A teaser clip for Season 5 shows Tyrion Lannister sporting a new beard and hood. Viewers are aware of the present circumstances, which forced him to flee prison after murdering his father. His new appearance might be a ploy to avoid his captors. Fans will have to wait to find out how Tyrion takes care of the situation.
4. The Official Trailer:
Before Game of Thrones Season 5 airs in spring 2015, fans can expect the official trailer to surface. Even though we have seen a few teaser clips of the same, no official video has been revealed so far. However, as the release date is nearing, the trailer is likely to release within the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
5. The Next Installment:
Fans are currently waiting for author George R.R Martin to release the next book in the Song of Ice and Fire series. Even though the book is likely to release sometimes within 2015, the release date is yet to be disclosed.
