While a number of people all over the world are waiting for the Season 7 premiere of the HBO hit series “Game of Thrones,” some of them would be happy to know that in addition to the fact that the producers and showrunners are doing everything they could to guarantee a great watch, the official beer of the TV series is about to be unveiled soon.
Reports have it that Brewery Ommegang has announced a new official “Game of Thrones” beer called Bend the Knee golden ale will be coming out soon. The beer would surely help some fans drink away their anxiety while waiting for Season 7 of their favorite TV series, details the Thrill List.
Accordingly, the Bend the Knee will be officially made available on Memorial Day, which is a good few weeks or months before the summer premiere of Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” in the summer.
The 9% Belgian-style golden will come in 750 ml bottles featuring the sigils of the Stark, Targaryen, and Lannister houses.
While three months is still a long way to go from today, ‘Game of Thrones” fans also understand that it is about the same time that author George RR Martin needs to write half a page of his fantasy novel series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” where the hit TV series is based upon.
Bend the Knee is the eighth beer in Brewery Ommegang’s collaboration with the HBO show, which began in 2013 with the aptly named Iron Throne blonde ale.
Other brews include the Take the Black Stout, Three-Eyed Raven saison, and Valar Dohaeris tripel ale. But it never launched its Joffrey gose, mainly because nobody would have liked it.
Long night of winter
When “Game of Thrones” comes back for its Season 7, the long night of winter will be upon Westeros and if reports are on target that it would also feature the initial battle with the White Walkers, then the winter could actually remain until Season 8.
“Game of Thrones” Season 7 will consist of seven episodes and debut possibly several months later than expected, confirming the icy dread that fans have expected for months now, that the long night of winter is here, and the coming summer will be shorter than ever.
Executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss feel that the storylines of Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” would be better served by starting production a little later than usual.
This was confirmed by Casey Bloys, president of HBO programming in a statement when he said that instead of the show’s traditional spring debut, they are moving the premier to summer to accommodate the shooting schedule, reports the Den of Geek.
Sophie Turner is confirmed for Season 8
Because death in “Game of Thrones” of even the major characters is ordinary, some fans are getting worried that a major character might die again in the next season.
Luckily for fans of Sophie Turner’s evermore fierce Sansa Stark, it looks like the Lady of Winterfell’s return for “Game of Thrones” Season 8 is confirmed.
While Sophie Turner was doing press at the BAFTA Awards recently, the question of “X-Men” came up. For X-fans, it was likely comforting to hear her confirm that she has a start date on the horizon for what is tentatively being called “X-Men: Supernova” online.
But she also lets slip that she needs to keep her schedule clear for “Game of Thrones” Season 8 later in 2017.
Sophie said that they are about to start shooting the next “X-Men,” adding further that they just finished shooting Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” and that she has a couple of movies to do before “X-Men” starts and then they go back again for Season 8. That surely had fans of Sansa Stark and “Game of Thrones” in general clearly excited.
