Game developer Atlus has been very busy these days releasing trailers and gameplay details about its upcoming role-playing game “Persona 5” on the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4.
In fact, the official PlayStation Japan website even made a dedicated page for “Persona 5” which showed a mix of familiar photos and new ones which are of better quality, notes Venture Capital Post.
While the developer has yet to announce the official release date of the game on the Sony gaming consoles, initial speculations indicate that “Persona 5” might be rolled out anytime in the fourth quarter of this year.
However, a new report has crop up as of late indicating that Atlus may pull off a major surprise at next week’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 by making a major reveal about “Persona 5.”
Crossmap was even too bold to cite that Atlus may actually unveil “Persona 5” during the event ahead of the earlier reports of fourth quarter launching for the role-playing game.
The site justified the notion by saying that Atlus was planning to announce the release date of “Persona 5” since February 5 this year during the Persona concert but due to some delays in the development of the game, the developer decided to put it on hold then.
Apology for the long wait
In a recent interview, Atlus creative head for “Persona 5,” Katsura Hashino, expressed his apology to fans and gamers of “Pesona 5” on behalf of the development team for the delay in the development of the role playing game.
He said that the delay was quite necessary so that they can assure everyone that when the game comes out, it will be truly worth it and that it will hit home right away as well as make for really impactful experiences to gamers.
Hashino said that they are inspired to hear gamer testimonials saying that “Persona” is the reason why they started playing role-playing games again that is why they want to deliver what is expected of them by gamers with the upcoming “Persona 5.” He said that the role-playing game, like its predecessors, is truly worth experiencing on a console for the gamers to really appreciate it.
Challenging gameplay
“Persona 5” is rumored to have a very challenging gameplay that beginners would really find it difficult to play it when it’s released to the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4.
“Persona 5” is the fifth main title in the “Shin Megami Tensei: Persona” series, which is part of the larger “Megami Tensei” video games series.
Given its alleged high level of difficulty, “Persona 5” is expected to turn off beginners who may find it tough to connect and relate to the game.
Game developer and publisher Atlus attributes the reason for the difficult gameplay of “Persona 5” to the nature of the role-playing game itself, which Japan is continuously using until today.
The modern generation Japanese have apparently elevated their preference for the games and wants players to feel more challenged so that is why they made sure that gamers get to feel it with “Persona 5.”
