343 Industries, the developer of the first-person shooter video game “Halo 5: Guardians” due to hit the Xbox One on October 27, assured gamers that the upcoming game would not experience the same issues that have hounded the recently released “Halo: The Master Chief Collection.”
Frank O’Connor, franchise development director of 343 Industries, explained that the overall endeavour of bringing “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” has been troublesome from the get-go, notes the Gaming Bolt.
He confirmed that the issues and problems that have hounded the game was indeed a blackeye for 343 Industries but is something that they do not intend to hide from. O’Connor explained that the problem with The Master Chief Collection is that it actually involves five different game engines with five different studios working on it. 343 Industries was only there to put it together so the end result was not just outrageous but chaos too.
But “Halo 5: Guardians” is a completely different story since it is being made by a different development team working on a singular product, O’Connor added.
He likewise mentioned that the game was built from the ground up using new technology rather than a collection of past games that started coming out in 2001 and bundled together for release in 2014. The beta version of “Halo 5: Guardians” will also show that it does not have the same problems or issues as those being experienced by “Halo: The Master Chief Collection.”
A first for a video game retail exclusive
Late in March, Microsoft has officially announced the worldwide release date of October 27 for the most anticipated game on Xbox One.
With the announcement, “Halo 5: Guardians” becomes the only Xbox One video game retail exclusive with a confirmed release date this year. Since both the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Wii U have yet to get a release date for their video game retail exclusives this year, “Halo 5: Guardians” is also the major console exclusive of any kind that is already confirmed for 2015.
The original “Halo: Combat Evolved” has been the flagship video game of Xbox since 2001. It was because of the game that millions of video game enthusiasts were convinced to purchase the original Xbox gaming console.
Microsoft is obviously optimistic that “Halo 5: Guardians” will give the Xbox One the lift that the first video game gave the original Xbox.
