There have indeed been some rumors that Disney might decide to explore some more interesting social topics in “Frozen 2”, giving kids the opportunity to be exposed to such ideas in a friendly context, but this is so far just a rumor and hasn’t been confirmed by the studio itself.
We certainly don’t see it as impossible though, as Disney have generally not been shy to exploring more unique themes through their works, and the studio knows how to spin even a controversial idea in a positive light that is taken well by everyone. Their films are almost always huge hits, and they have a solid platform through which to spread those ideas.
We don’t know when “Frozen 2” is going to be ready, and rumors about the release date are all we have right now. Even the braver rumors aren’t very optimistic though, as it’s claimed that the film will take a while to be completed and we’re not going to see it anytime soon.
Which, for most fans, seems to be acceptable. Everyone seems to understand the concept that perfection takes time, and Disney are among the studios that like to polish their products as closely to perfection as they’re capable. Because of this, it might indeed take them some time to get “Frozen 2” ready and out on the big screen, especially if they have bigger plans for it.
