Still, critics believe that “Frozen 2″ will stick with Disney’s traditional value of partnering their princesses with their respective prince charmings and Queen Elsa is not the one to break that tradition.
Initially, Idina Menzel, who served as voice actor for Queen Elsa, has been open to the possibility of making Elsa a lesbian but she said that it is actually dependent on how the writers and the directors want to explore the character.
There have also been rumors that went around on social media that Menzel will be replaced by Demi Lovato to portray Queen Elsa. Lovato also made her own rendition on the well-famed Disney song, “Let it Go.”
However, it seems that those rumors are untrue because Menzel has already been confirmed to reprise his voice acting role in “Frozen 2,” and so is Kristen Bell, who shall be lending her voice again for Princess Anna.
Disney’s CEO Robert Iger stated during a recent interview that they are not rushing the film as they are making sure that “Frozen 2” will deliver the level of excellence that they are expecting it to be.
Previous reports have said that “Frozen 2” would be released in 2018 but after the latest statement of Iger, there is a good chance that the movie could come out on theaters in 2019 or even later.
