According to some fans, Disney should be careful with any changes they make to the art direction of the film, as that was an important part of the original’s plot, and it would be a bad mistake to make the new film too different for the sake of stuffing more polygons in the same scene.
While Disney definitely have a better potential to come up with a more detailed scene at the moment, it’s also true that they need to be more careful with the way they do that because fans don’t always want to see more detail, sometimes the beauty in an art style lies in its simplicity.
“Frozen” didn’t exactly have a simple style to begin with, but the film did manage to blend certain elements of elegance with the added levels of detail that some of its scenes had.
The final result was very interesting and something that inspired many critics to talk about the film very actively, but it would be hard for Disney to repeat that success if they don’t pay attention to the overall graphic direction of the film. Something which we’re sure the studio is already well aware of, and they shouldn’t even need a reminder to keep up the original work that they did in this regard.
