We’ve been hearing various rumors about “Frozen 2” and the film is starting to shape up as a very interesting sequel to the original, and possibly much more than what fans originally wanted – which should be expected considering that it’s a Disney production and the studio never takes its sequels very lightly. The various rumors and reports that we’ve been getting about “Frozen 2” all paint a very interesting picture for the film, and we’re excited to see what Disney could do with all of the old characters.
There has been some information going around regarding the development of some particular characters from the original story, and it sounds like Anna is going to be a much more important character now, with more to say and do in the overall story. The writers have given her some special powers this time and we’re going to see her using them quite a bit if some reports are true, and this could have a central place in the new storyline.
However, according to some fans this could be just a misinterpretation of the vague hints that we’ve been given – it could also mean that the story will feature Anna using the power of love to solve the new problems that she will face, and that could indeed make for a classic Disney plot with a lot of potential to give fans of the old film even more of the same kinds of adorable stories that they saw originally.
Of course, the new “Frozen” is not going to be all about love and happiness, and there will be some adversity in the film for the characters to face. More specifically, we’re going to see Elsa and Anna coming up against an entirely new villain, but we have no idea who that might be right now, nor do we have any specific details about their identity at all. We’ve just heard some hints that it might be a woman, but that’s about all we know about the new villain at the moment, and the story is quite unclear.
On the other hand, Olaf might also be given a little more focus in the new plot, and the character could actually be involved in a major love story of his own this time, adding a lot to his already nice character. Many fans of the original “Frozen” have been asking to see some more development for Olaf and it sounds like Disney have decided to listen, but we don’t know exactly how much attention they’re going to give his character.
All we can tell for sure is that the studio is definitely planning a lot of development on all sides of their plot and we’re probably going to see the story as a whole evolving significantly. There has always been a strong tendency for Disney to expand their major characters in sequels to their important films, and it looks like “Frozen” is going to be no exception, as all notable characters from the original are going to see a lot added to their personalities.
There have also been reports that the film is going to come with a significant improvement in its art style, as new technology has allowed Disney’s animators to achieve a lot greater visual fidelity and to really give this film a major boost in the way it looks. And while this should be great news for most fans, some have seen it in a slightly more worrying light.
