Frozen 2 May Highlight Rookie Mistake of Anna in Aspiring for Elsa’s Power!

“Frozen 2,” the sequel to the most successful animated film in history, is still years away from hitting theaters, but speculations about its pre-production and possible plotlines have been circulating on the internet like wildfire.

One of the many speculated plotlines out in the wild these days is the possibility of Anna attempting to steal Queen Elsa’s power. As the sisters are actually good-natured, Anna will eventually own up to her rookie mistake and seek forgiveness from Elsa. The happy conclusion accordingly is the positive message that it will impart to all viewers, particularly the kids, details Movie News Guide.

However, Disney or directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, have yet to confirm or deny this particular rumor so it should be taken with a pinch of salt.

There were previous reports that one of the main plotlines of “Frozen 2” will be Queen Elsa finally finding her love interest. It could be recalled that it was Anna whose love interest was highlighted in “Frozen.”

First, she thought that Prince Hans was the love of her life only to find out that he was only scheming to become the King of Arrendelle. It was only later on that Anna found out that it was Kristoff who truly loves her.

Queen Elsa did not have any romantic interest in “Frozen” and it looks like she will take center stage in the romance department come “Frozen 2.”

There were reports that since she was the one who actually created and gave life to Olaf when she and Anna were still kids, it is possible that Olaf will turn into some kind of human or a prince and he will be Queen Elsa’s love interest.

Back stories galore

Speculations are also rife that there will be a handful of back stories in “Frozen 2.” In addition to Olaf, it is possible that a back story on Elsa will be featured to show how she got her ice powers in the first place.

On the issue of Anna having her own power, writers and directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, in an interview, said that Anna’s superpower, as shown in the first movie, is love, alluding that reports on the younger sibling’s ability may not be accurate after all. They added that Anna saves the day in “Frozen” with love, cites Venture Capital Post.

Buck also added that amid the pressure of coming up with a very good sequel for “Frozen,” he said that they are more concern about the main plotline of the movie and the decent message that they want to impart to viewers. He said that if they fail to capitalize on giving a decent message on “Frozen 2,” then they will miss a great opportunity.

The importance of a decent message

In a previous interview, Chris Buck said that he and Jennifer already have an idea on how to end the movie and the main issue that they are brainstorming about is how they end it. But he did not disclose anything with regards to the plot of the movie, leaving fans with their tons of speculations on the details, including possible storylines and new characters for “Frozen 2.”

frozen-2

More than a great story, “Frozen 2” needs to have a great message just like its predecessor to endear itself to its viewers, particularly among kids.

While it is almost sure that the kids who watched the first movie back in 2013 will watch the sequel the same way that many adults would likely do so, the sequel will have to deal most certainly with a new batch of young tots. Some of those kids were not even born yet when the first movie was shown or that most of them were still infants then.
