Frozen 2 May Change the Overall Theme and Feeling of the Film Significantly: Are Fans Happy about That Idea? Let’s See

After the confirmation that “Frozen 2” is in production and the film will be ready sometime in the next few years, people have been speculating a lot about what it can do to refresh the franchise, and what kinds of changes we can expect to the ideas that were already established in the last film. Indeed, it’s been claimed that the new “Frozen” is going to introduce quite the significant personality shift for certain specific characters, and we might see some of them in a completely different new light.

There will still be some sense of familiarity though – for example, the film will continue the story from the original almost without skipping a beat, from what we’ve heard, and the plot will continue from that point, although it will move in some new directions. Those changes may or may not be received well by all fans, but in the end, it’s a risk that the studio has to take if they want to see the “Frozen” franchise progressing properly and turning into something truly amazing.

One of the changes we’re going to see in the new film will be in the character of Elsa, who will now apparently be presented in a very different light, with a complete shift in her attitude that will make her a much more interesting, complex character. She will now be a bit more positive towards everything around her, instead of the moodier version of the character that we saw in the original “Frozen”.

This was already sort-of confirmed in a short film that was released recently, intended to promote both the original “Frozen” as well as its upcoming sequel (even though the latter wasn’t actually announced back then). We also got some other hints about what the setting of “Frozen 2” might look like, but that was mostly speculation from the fans and not any concrete confirmation from the studio itself.

We’re going to see various characters returning, including Elsa, Anna and Olaf, and there will of course be plenty of new characters introduced as well. And something interesting that has been revealed about the character line-up is that Anna might be shown without her original love interest in this film – while on the other hand, the situation may change for the better for Olaf, who could suddenly find himself in the middle of a love story.

We don’t know the details of that part of the plot, nor what kind of character might be introduced as Olaf’s potential girlfriend, but interestingly enough, this has been one of the main points of speculation for most fans of the original film. Olaf was a fan-favorite character, and many would obviously be excited to see the plot paying more attention to him and giving him some proper character growth. Because of this, we expect the writers to handle that part of the plot with particular attention to detail, and they might even come up with something more unique for him as well.

Disney themselves are apparently just as excited for the new film as their fans are, if not more – the studio has been having a lot of fun coming up with interesting new ideas for “Frozen 2” and exploring the possibilities for the franchise, and we expect them to try various different ideas for the new story. After all, the very fact that they’re making a sequel in the first place is a clear indication that the franchise is going to be continued in a solid way.
