‘Frozen 2’ Latest Rumors Now Hint of a Possible Sibling Rivalry with Princess Anna Turning into Her Dark Side!

Just leave it to the rumor mills to speculate on the possible plotlines of “Frozen 2,” the sequel to the most successful animated film of all time, and trolls will come up with plenty of ridiculous, albeit weird, storylines.

The latest rumors about “Frozen 2” are saying that it would feature a sibling rivalry between Queen Elsa and Princess Anna of Arendelle.

It can be recalled that there was a bit of sibling rivalry featured in “Frozen” when Elsa decided to run off to the snow mountain but not because she is angry with her sister but more because she wanted to protect her sister and the whole of Arendelle for her uncontrollable powers of turning everything around her into ice.

The absurd portion of the rumors lies with reports saying that there is also a possibility that Princess Anna would steal the throne of Arendelle from her sister, reports Chatt Sports Net.

The same speculations are saying that Anna will abandon her sweet and adorable image to become the sequel’s big bad. Accordingly, Anna will become jealous of her sister and take extreme measures to gain Elsa’s powers and reign over the Kingdom of Arendelle.

Based on the character of Princess Anna and the hint previously stated by co-writers and co-directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee that they are looking for “Frozen 2” to impart a very strong message to children, it seems unlikely for Anna to become the sequel’s big bad.

As if going further to the extreme, the same rumors are saying that Anna would even resort to killing off Olaf, something which is no longer Disney-like considering that both Anna and Olaf are fan-favorite characters.

Disney is not the type of production company that gives confusing messages to children so those absurd speculations are nothing but products of imaginations of some radical fans or critics of the franchise.

Budgetary problems

There are also rumors saying that Disney is running into some budget problems and may have to consider cutting down on appropriations on some of its films including “Frozen 2.”

Accordingly, Disney is looking to spend a fortune on the live action versions of Walt Disney classic animated movies including “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Little Mermaid.”

At the start of the year, the first teaser trailer for the live-action version of “Beauty and the Beast was released featuring “Harry Potter” actress Emma Watson.

Given the two huge Disney movies arriving in theaters worldwide within a few years, there will be an issue for the successful film studio if it decides to push through with “Frozen 2.” In fact, there are even rumors saying that Disney may drop the sequel for an indefinite period to focus on other movies, details the Christian Times.

However, those who know how big an entertainment conglomerate Disney is, are certainly not the ones to believe of the rumored budgetary problems being encountered by the production company.

They believe that Disney is already too big a company to even face budgetary constraints at this point.

Building on the hype of ‘Frozen’ holiday TV special

“Frozen 2” has been confirmed to be released sometime in 2018 though Disney has yet to come out with a specific release date.

While most fans would like to focus on the possible plotline of the TV series, Disney seems to be building the hype on the film in a lot of different ways.

Reports have it that the movie shall benefit from the promotional hype to be generated by Disney when the entertainment conglomerate holds the “Frozen” holiday TV special to be aired on ABC in the Christmas of 2017.

However, more than the promotional hype, co-director Chris Buck revealed in a recent interview that what is important for him and co-director and co-writer Jennifer Lee, is the decent message that they could impart in “Frozen 2.”

He said that he wants to make “Frozen 2” stand out just like its predecessor movie so that when kids watch the movie, they will want to watch it over and over again.

Buck added that they are being given the priceless opportunity to send a decent message via the film and they would not let it just slipped by.
