Disney are generally very careful about their sequels and they try not to rush things. When the studio is ready to work on a sequel, especially to one of their most popular films, then they must have a lot of ideas for it. That, and they must be confident in the ability of the new film to succeed.
There is still a lot unknown about the film though, and until we get a little more official information, fans should probably cool down and avoid jumping on any huge hype trains. That can usually lead to a lot of disappointment in the long run.
On the other hand, listening to the rumor mill and thinking about which of those rumors could be true is fun for many people and it’s part of the anticipation process. For many, it just adds to the pleasure of enjoying the final product when it’s actually released, especially if they managed to catch one of the more interesting rumors that then turns out to be true.
