There have also been talks about expanding “Frozen” into a larger franchise, and the recently released short spin-off could lend some credibility to those rumors. Of course, even if that’s in the plans, it’s going to be a while before we see news of it.
“Frozen 2” will have to be released first in any case, and only after that we might start getting some additional rumors about other films, or possibly even another spin-off like “Frozen Fever”.
It would be interesting to see Disney exploring the idea of a full-feature spin-off as well, a new film in the same universe but from a different point of view. There are some possibilities for that, and fans have been discussing those quite actively.
In the end though, even “Frozen 2” by itself should be more than enough to satisfy fans for the time being. The film will likely take a while to reach us, so we might start getting more information about it over the next months as production goes on. Hopefully, any rumors that come from the set will be in a positive tone, since, as we said above, there is a lot of attention on this production right now.
