Frozen 2: Disney Is Being Extra Careful About the Sequel While Commencing Production!

Frozen Fever or Frozen 2 is Walt Disney’s upcoming animated 2D film. It is a sequel to the 2013 box-office success Frozen, which was originally released in 3D. The film is inspired from Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen.

Frozen 2 is scheduled to be a short movie and has been slotted for release in the spring of 2015. Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) and Josh Gad (Olaf) will resume their roles. Producers Peter Del Vecho and John Lasseter, returns along with Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck as co-directors. The husband-wife duo of Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who composed Frozen’s “Let It Go” and won an Academy Award, will be composing a new song for Frozen 2.

Executive producer John Lasseter said that they had planned on a short sequel for Frozen. The old characters are coming back along with the same crew, and the film is going to be hilarious.
Bob Iger, Disney’s CEO, has revealed in an interview that the animation firm is not rushing into a sequel. Disney believes in slow, but steady progress. They are giving top priority to the fans of the franchise and in no way want to jeopardise their appreciation for the sequel. Frozen had a huge fan base, and Frozen 2 will have to live up to that, if not better it.

Frozen deals with the story of two sisters- Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. Elsa had a blessing to freeze anything, but she couldn’t control it and hence it was more of a curse for her. Elsa was scared of her curse and isolated herself from her sister, Anna. She finally learns how to control her power and reunites with Elsa.
In Frozen 2, it’s Anna’s birthday. Elsa and Kristoff decided to give her the best birthday celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy powers might put all the people who are part of the celebration into trouble. Frozen 2 is also going to feature Olaf the Snowman.

Frozen 2

Frozen earned $1.274 billion globally at the box office, turning it into one of the studio’s all-time biggest hits. The fourth season of the fantasy drama titled “Once Upon a Time” that airs on the ABC network now features a Frozen-inspired story line. The series deals with the fantasy characters living in the real world while trying to keep the curses and omens from the fantasy world from affecting their normal lives.

Disney is worried that Frozen 2 will go the way all Hollywood sequels go- flop! They are, therefore, moving very cautiously and trying the best they can to make this film a bigger success.
