Finally, after all the rumors about the sequel to the most successful animated movie of all time “Frozen,” someone who is part of the film spoke up about it.
Actress Idina Menzel recently hit the red carpet at the AFI Life Achievement Awards in LA on June 9 and she was asked about her involvement in “Frozen 2.”
Menzel revealed that the movie is currently in a story writing stage at this time and she also confirmed that she is on it as Queen Elsa.
The actress even joked that she thinks that she is in the movie, not unless Queen Elsa falls off an ice cliff and dies in the first five minutes of the film, details Popsugar.
Clearly, the last part of her statements is a joke because it is quite hard to fathom not having Queen Elsa for “Frozen 2.”
Polarizing war on Twitter
Incidentally, without Disney being involved in it at all, “Frozen 2” has triggered a polarizing war on Twitter that pitted LGBT supporters who are vouching to see Queen Elsa having a girlfriend against social conservatives who prefer to see the ice queen have her prince charming.
Some netizens, on the other hand, simply want a stop to the seeming madness and just keep Elsa single just like in the first movie, reports News Everyday.
The third group wants Elsa as single by arguing that the young queen does not need any romantic partner to complete her.
In addition, an online petition to keep Queen Elsa is also picking up supporters because they believe that the snow queen is a very independent character who is content by being with the people she loves.
As the most popular Disney princess among kids today, Elsa shows no interest in a romantic relationship because she is strong and independent, the petition reads.
It added that Elsa is content with just having her sister, friends, and faithful subjects surrounding her.
An absurd crossover rumors
After the crossover rumor between “Frozen” and “Tangled” which said that Rapunzel is actually the sister of Elsa and that Anna is only their half-sister, another absurd rumor just came out of almost nowhere.
According to some supposed reports, the parents of Queen Elsa and Princess Anna did not die in the boat as shown in “Frozen,” they were actually shipwrecked and they ended up in a jungle. That’s when the queen of Arendelle gave birth to a son before the two of them were eaten by a leopard.
Somehow, the rumors made the connection between “Frozen” and “Tarzan” which make it actually far-fetched from reality, although given that both are fiction and are products of Disney, everything is possible.
The plot thickens although it seems that it is getting more and more difficult to digest for the average fans just waiting for news about the sequel to the most successful animated film in history.
Incidentally, a live-action movie on Tarzan titled “The Legend of Tarzan” produced by Warner Bros is about to hit theaters on July 1 so these new round of rumors about the King of the Jungle being the long lost brother of Queen Elsa and Princess Anna is meant to add hype to the upcoming movie.
Both Disney or co-directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee have yet to comment on this rather wild rumor so this ultimately joins the bunch of speculations regarding the possible plotlines for “Frozen 2.”
Incidentally, the rumors about a gay Queen Elsa has made the rounds since last year but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
It appears that this speculation was brought about by the recent clamor of some pro-LGBT activists to have an increased gay representation in Hollywood films.
Since “Frozen” is a very popular movie and always a trending topic on the internet, some advocates decided to include the movie into their cause.

I still Ship Jack Frost with Elsa as boyfriend and girlfriend love interest to be in the Sequel movie of Frozen 2.
But if they want Elsa to be single then I’m okay with that. Can’t wait to see the frozen two movies.
